AeroMIT

AeroMIT is an aeromodelling student project of MAHE that designs, fabricates and flies RC airplanes. It has 5 different subsystems - Aerodynamics, Structures & Composites, Advanced Drone Research, Research & Development and Management. The team participates in various regional competitions and the SAE Aero Design competition held annually in the USA.

Dronaid

Aimed at improving India's current healthcare infrastructure by merging together advanced tech like Artificial Intelligence, Drones and App Dev with Medical Science, it is the first MIT student project to collaborate with KMC.

Formula Manipal

Formula Manipal, a student engineering project based in Manipal, Karnataka comprises of a group of passionate students of Manipal Academy of Higher Education who aim to design, conceptualize, fabricate, test and race single seater, open-wheel Formula Style Combustion and Electric race cars.

Formula Manipal starting as an idea in 2007, has come up with 8 extremely intriguing cars till date which have competed nationally and internationally in various platforms including Italy, UK, Austria, Germany and Czech Republic.

Mars Rover Manipal

Mars Rover Manipal began in 2014 with the motto “Design to Discover” and prime idea of spreading awareness about robotics and finding different robotic explorations to Mars by a few passionate undergraduates from Manipal Institute of technology. With the passage of time and new ideas being pitched the team strength is increasing with introduction of young minds every year to the team and now the team is one of the most progressive and accomplished team of Manipal Institute of Technology.

MotoManipal

MotoManipal is the brainchild of a team of passionate students from Manipal Institute of Technology, who came together in early 2018, to start a project to revolutionize electric bikes in the current industry. It is Manipal’s only electric superbike team which aims at establishing a balance between maintaining the ecological parameters and love for biking.

The team is set to test the boundaries of speed and agility keeping in mind the need to bring a change in today’s environment that could prove to improve living conditions. MotoManipal believes in providing bike enthusiasts with an efficient, energy driven, and affordable prototype of an electric super bike. MotoManipal is slowly building up a team of fervent students with an aim to keeping a fine balance in the environment.

Parikshit Student Satellite Team

The team is working on the development of a 2U nanosatellite for thermal imaging of the Indian subcontinent and to perform deorbiting at the end of mission life using a passive tether system. We as a team also have the responsibility of helping in the development of space technology in India.

Project MANAS

The official undergraduate AI Robotics student team of MAHE. Currently taking part in Mahindra's $1 million Rize Prize challange, as well as participating in the annual Intelligent Ground Vehicle Competition.

RoboManipal

RoboManipal is the official robotics team of MIT, Manipal. Its 30-odd members are an amalgamation of robotics enthusiasts from multiple streams of engineering. Our primary objective is to participate in and win the ABU Robocon, the largest robotics competition in the Asia-Pacific region.

Having pulled off continually successful performances including obtaining an AIR of 9, RoboManipal has established itself as a name of repute at the Robocon. Besides this our members have won multiple innovation challenges such as the Make-a-Thon by INK Talks, Teenovators and the Provenance competition.

Apart from participating in competitions and holding technical workshops, RoboManipal has diversified its footprint into the area of Research. This year the team has been re-structured and a new department of research has been introduced. We have already started working on research oriented projects including a BIPED bot headed by one of our seniors with other projects in the pipeline to be pursued and completed in the near future.

R.U.G.V.E.D. Systems

Remote Unmanned Ground Vehicular Electronic Defense Systems (RUGVED SYSTEMS) is a student based team dedicated to developing high tech surveillance based military solutions for the Indian Army. The team merges cutting edge A. I. Research with robotics to develop a multipurpose customisable vehicle for defense purposes.

SolarMobil

Our team aims to build “Solar e-CARS” for a clean and eco-friendly future. We, here at SolarMobil stand together to find novel solar mobility solutions for a clean and green future. We, here strive to imagine and then engineer a clean and bright future. Thus bringing us to our moto ‘Imagineering the future'.

TMR

Team Manipal Racing is the off-road racing team of Manipal Academy of Higher Education. Team Manipal Racing designs and fabricates all terrain vehicles, and participates in both national and international BAJA competitions organized by the SAE and Delta inc. Established in 2008, it is one of the oldest student projects and also one of the oldest BAJA teams in the country. Subsystems in the team are:- Transmission, Chassis, Vehicle Dynamics, Brakes, Electronics and Management.

Over 10 years since its inception, the team has developed a reputation of consistent performance having finished 1st overall in Dynamics (Car performance tests) at BAJA SAE India 2018 (IIT Ropar) and 3rd overall in statics (Design and business presentations). The team is now gearing up for the manufacture of it's 9th ATV, the V9.

thrustMIT

thrustMIT started off in early 2016 as a small group of rocket enthusiasts with the aim of promoting High-Power-Rocketry in India. The Team intends to take part in the Spaceport America Cup, organized by Experimental Sounding Rocket Association and held in the United States every June. Earlier known as Intercollegiate Rocket Engineering Competition, it is the biggest platform in the world for UG and PG students to showcase their Rocket Engineering skills. With a large participation from the best universities throughout the world and extensive media coverage, it is a huge event thousands of students, researchers and businessmen look forward to. thrustMIT also aspires to spread knowledge, promote, foster and bring about technical innovations in the ingenious field of rocketry. The team has come a long way since its inception, and is constantly working towards perfection.
